North Battleford Beavers start their campaign with hopes of a fourth straight title
The North Battleford Beavers begin their quest for a fourth straight North Saskatchewan River Baseball League championship tonight when they travel to Standard Hill to face the Lakers in their season opener.
Fresh off a third consecutive league title, Beavers head coach Kyle Gregoire said the team has high expectations entering the new campaign, but isn’t looking too far ahead.
“We want to just start off with having a good first month here, get some games under our belt there,” Gregoire said. “But at the end of the day, we have a higher extent than just having a good regular season.
“We want to go deep into the playoffs. I look at the guys that we have on our roster there, and I can see us having success again. So, just one game at a time.”
