North Battleford non-profit hit by late-night lumber theft

What looked like a quick loading job in North Battleford is now the subject of a police investigation. 

Battlefords RCMP are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of stealing lumber from the yard of a non-profit organization.

According to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers, the theft happened on April 22 shortly after 9 p.m.

The suspect arrived in a white 2009 Acura MDX with a Saskatchewan licence plate.

The man is described as wearing a brown coat, black hoodie, dark grey pants and dark shoes. Surveillance images released by Crime Stoppers appear to show pieces of lumber being loaded into the car.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477, by visiting the Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers website or using the P3 mobile tip app. Tips are anonymous and could qualify for a cash reward of up to $2,000 if the information leads to an arrest or charge.
