NBCHS announces hockey program, classes for next school year
North Battleford Comprehensive High School has announced the return of its on-ice hockey program, along with a new standalone off-ice hockey class that teaches students about the sport beyond the rink, including nutrition, leadership, and sportsmanship.
The on-ice program, which costs $1,100, will be coached by North Stars assistant coach Owen Lamb and is open to boys and girls in Grade 7 to Grade 9. The off-ice class is offered to Grade 10, 11 and 12 students and is taught by Ashley Rafuse.
Off-ice class
The school previously combined on and off-ice components but has now separated them, making off-ice its own course.
