Saskatchewan RCMP investigating suspicious death in North Battleford

Battlefords RCMP received a report of an injured male in an alley behind a residence on 105 street in North Battleford on April 28, 2026, at approximately 4 p.m. 

Upon locating the victim at the scene, he was taken to the hospital by EMS and later declared deceased at the hospital. 

The victim was identified as 36-year-old Tyson Mosquito from North Battleford. His family has been notified. 

The death is considered suspicious, and Saskatchewan RCMP’s homicide investigation unit is now in control of the investigation. 

RCMP is asking anybody who lives in the 105 Street area in North Battleford to review their home security and doorbell cameras between 3:40-4:00 p.m. on April 28, and to please report any captured images or videos of suspicious activity to the police immediately. 

Anyone who was with Mosquito in the days before his death are also asked to contact police.

Investigators have advised that there will be an increased police presence in the 105 Street area in North Battleford for an undetermined amount of time. Updates will be provided when available as Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit continues to investigate.
