Teenage boy alleged responsible for armed robbery at Debden business
A teenage boy from Pelican Lake First Nation is alleged responsible for an armed robbery that occurred last Friday at a business in Debden.
At approximately 11 a.m., police said a male entered the business, threatened an employee with a firearm, and demanded money. He then fled in a vehicle. No physical injuries were reported to police.
RCMP officers began patrolling for the vehicle and alerted nearby detachments. When the suspect vehicle was located on Highway 3, officers activated their emergency lights and attempted a traffic stop.
The vehicle did not stop and continued on at a high rate of speed.
