The Battlefords WPD Ambulance Sharks have been eliminated from Esso Cup Contention after falling in three games to the Manitoba Female Hockey League (MFHL) winning Winnipeg Ice.

After staging a comeback from a 3-1 deficit, the Sharks would lose 4-3. The final goal came shortly after a power play and Sharks captain Danika Dureau was ejected from the game.

The Sharks goals came from Dureau, Brooke Weber and Elan Kramer, but Ice goaltender Gina Plett stood tall in net with 35 saves on 38 shots to lead her team to the Esso Cup. Callie Adams scored the game winning goal for the Ice with 6:14 left to go in the period.

More details to follow later in the week.
