If you see or smell smoke in North Battleford, there is no cause for concern.
The City of North Battleford is conducting a small, controlled wood-burn at the Waste Management Facility, starting Tuesday.
During this time, two clean wood piles will be burned to remove excess debris and increase safety on the site. It is expected to be completed within a few days.
This burn is routine, permitted by the North Battleford Fire Department to manage wood debris safely. It will be brief, closely monitored by trained staff, and poses no risk to the public.
