Switzerland’s Schwaller on a roll in women’s world curling championship

CALGARY — Switzerland’s Xenia Schwaller has won a third straight game at the women’s world curling championship to improve her record to 3-1.

The 2024 world junior champion’s team defeated Scotland’s Fay Henderson 9-5 in the morning draw at WinSport Event Centre.

Canada’s Kerri Einarson, Japan and Turkey were 3-0 heading into the afternoon draw when Einarson was to face Denmark.

In other games, Sweden dropped to 2-2 following a 9-7 loss to Norway. The United States won its first game with a 7-2 victory over Australia.
