Dylan Larkin, John Gibson lead Red Wings to 2-1 overtime victory vs. Senators
OTTAWA — Dylan Larkin scored in overtime but John Gibson was the real hero as the Detroit Red Wings edged the Ottawa Senators 2-1 on Thursday.
Larkin beat Senators goalie Linus Ullmark on his backhand with 3:10 remaining in overtime.
It was Larkin’s second goal of the game after he tied it 1-1 for Detroit (34-19-6) on a power play in the second period.
Gibson kept the Red Wings in the game, making 26 saves.
