Two men facing multiple charges following North Battleford shooting

Feb 11, 2026 | 3:50 PM

Two people have been charged after a shooting took place in North Battleford.

On Feb 8, around 9:30 p.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of shots fired at a residential building. Officers immediately responded and confirmed there were no injuries.

Further investigation determined the suspects fled the scene in a grey SUV. RCMP were conducting patrols when they located the vehicle on Highway 16. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle; the vehicle continued to proceed down the highway. Officers followed the vehicle at a high rate of speed until it turned down a rural road, eventually coming to a sudden stop.

Officers and Saskatchewan RCMP’s Police Dog Services contained the vehicle. Two suspects were observed; one exited the vehicle, threw a firearm on the ground, and reentered the vehicle.

Following multiple requests to exit the vehicle, two men exited and were arrested without incident. Officers seized the loaded firearm that had earlier been thrown out of the vehicle as well as firearm ammunition and bear spray.
