Manhunt underway for escaped inmate with ties to North Battleford

RCMP are asking the public to report sightings of an escaped inmate who police say has connections to the North Battleford area.

Saskatoon RCMP said they received a report at about 2:20 p.m. on Feb. 2 of a prisoner who escaped custody while serving a sentence at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre. 

Investigation determined the man, identified as 53-year-old Dale Patrick, was last seen around 11:30 a.m. that day on Whitecap Dakota Nation. 

Officers have since been searching locations Patrick is known to frequent and following up on tips from the public. Saskatoon Police Service has also been notified and is assisting with the search. 

Patrick is now charged with being unlawfully at large.

Police describe him as approximately five-foot-10 and 170 pounds, with brown eyes and greying brown hair. He has no facial hair and was last seen wearing a red, blue and white plaid shirt and jeans. 

Patrick has connections to Saskatoon, North Battleford and Leduc, Alta., but his current whereabouts are unknown. 

“If you see Dale Patrick, do not approach him.”

Anyone with information about his location is asked to call their local police service or dial 310-RCMP. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
