Community Safety Officers are seeking information after an injured dog was found in an outdoor garbage bin in North Battleford.
On Feb 2 at 4:45 p.m., CSOs were dispatched to a business at 111-100th Street after a small dog was found by staff in a red outdoor garbage bin behind the property.
The dog was reported to be injured and is estimated to be three to six months old. It was transported to a local vet for treatment where staff identified its stomach laceration as a hernia. CSOs say the dog is malnourished and continues to be in the care of a veterinarian.
Anyone with information about the person(s) who disposed of the animal, or those who may have witnessed the event are asked to provide details to CSOs at 306-445-1775.
