North Battleford council invites residents to monthly ‘Council Connect’ meet-ups

Jan 22, 2026 | 12:49 PM

It’s an opportunity to engage in casual conversation with members of the public.

City councillors from North Battleford will host an event on a Thursday each month, with rotating times and locations to give all residents a chance to attend.

Mayor Kelly Hawtin said the first meet-up will take place this afternoon.

“We’re kicking it off today (Thursday) from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Tim Horton’s by the Frontier Mall. I’ll be there, and I think a couple of members of the council will be able to attend today. So yeah, come in, drop on by,” she said.

The public can engage in an open forum atmosphere where they can bring specific topics to council members or hear about Hawtin’s future plans for the city.

“If people want to have requests of the city, we still want them to register as a delegation to come and speak to all of council and go through the proper channels. But we can also help them understand the pathway if they want to come and chat with us,” said Hawtin.
