Orange level cold warning in place for much of province
Warnings are now in place for most of Saskatchewan as temperatures are set to take an extreme dip.
Orange level warnings have been issued by Environment Canada for all parts of the province, except for the southeastern corner. Orange level warnings are put in place when severe weather is likely to cause significant damage, disruption, or health impacts.
“A colder and windier air mass is moving into Saskatchewan, bringing falling temperatures and wind chill values dropping into the -40 C to -45 C range,” read the warning.
The orange level cold warning covers most of Saskatchewan, and stretches well in Eastern Ontario. (Environment Canada)
