Four unanswered goals lead North Stars to 4-1 win vs the Humboldt Broncos
After going down 1-0 in the first period, the Battlefords North Stars scored four straight in the second and third period to take down the Humboldt Broncos on the road to get back into the win column. With the win, the North Stars (23-8-3-2, 1st in Nutrien Division) are now just two points behind the Flin Flon Bombers for the first-place spot in the SJHL.
The Broncos (17-16-1-1, 3rd in Nutrien Division) got on the board first at the 2:06 mark of the first period. There was a scramble in front, and Logan Flint took advantage, wiring the puck past North Stars goaltender Kaeden Serpa to put the Broncos up 1-0.
Brady Holtvogt was solid in net during the first period for the Broncos. He stopped all 10 shots he faced in the first period to keep the North Stars at bay heading into the second frame.
