Three charged after Meadow Lake drug bust; one accused remains at large

Meadow Lake RCMP have charged two men and a woman after methamphetamine, cocaine, weapons and cash were seized during a search of a residence in the city late last month. The woman remains at large.

Officers executed a search warrant at a home on 5th Avenue East at about 2 p.m. on Dec. 31 as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

RCMP said officers seized about 77 grams of methamphetamine, about 56 grams of cocaine, two machetes, a hunting knife, an imitation firearm, bear spray, a baton, drug trafficking paraphernalia and a sum of cash.

Kody McCallum, 31, of Meadow Lake is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine and cocaine, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, two counts of weapons possession contrary to an order, failing to comply with a release order condition, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Twenty-eight-year-old Michael Ross of Meadow Lake is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Police said both men were arrested at the residence where the warrant was executed. McCallum is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake provincial court on Jan. 9, while Ross is scheduled to appear on Feb. 2.

Twenty-one-year-old Julianne Cardinal of Meadow Lake is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Police said a warrant has been issued for Cardinal’s arrest and are asking the public to report any sightings or information about her whereabouts.

Cardinal is described as five-foot-three, about 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and a mole on her left cheek.

Saskatchewan RCMP said North Battleford Police Dog Services and Meadow Lake Combined Traffic Services assisted with the investigation.
