Two charged in Lloydminster hotel drug bust

Dec 23, 2025 | 3:50 PM

Two people have been charged after Sask. RCMP located drug-trafficking paraphernalia in a Lloydminster hotel room.

On Dec. 17, Lloydminster RCMP Crime Reduction Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on a hotel room as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

During the search, officers located cocaine, cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia. Two residents have since been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

Both people were brought before a justice of peace and released on conditions. They will both appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on Jan. 13.

Cpl. Jason DeCoste of the Lloydminster Crime Reduction Unit said the search warrant was part of the unit’s continued commitment to target drug trafficking crime within the community.

“We will continue to proactively investigate these crimes and ask that any member of the public, who has information on criminal activity, please call the Lloydminster RCMP,” he said.

RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance identifying locations or sightings of criminal activity, including drug trafficking. Contact Lloydminster RCMP or local police with any information.
