PARIS — Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime fell just short of a title at the Paris Masters on Sunday.

The 25-year-old from Montreal suffered a 6-4, 7-6 (4) loss to Italy’s Jannik Sinner in the men’s singles final.

Auger-Aliassime had eight aces and just two double faults failed to get one break-point chance in the match.

The ninth-seeded Auger-Aliassime needed to win the tournament to clinch the eighth and final spot for the season-ending ATP Finals in Turin, Italy.
