Possible Hepatitis A exposure reported at Lloydminster McDonald’s
If you ate at a McDonald’s restaurant in Lloydminster earlier this month, you may have been exposed to Hepatitis A.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) says the possible exposure involves a food service employee who handled food, drinks and utensils at the McDonald’s located at 1803 50th Avenue.
The agency says anyone who ate there — whether dining in, taking out or ordering delivery — on Oct. 6, 9 to 13, or 16 to 19 should contact HealthLine 811 or Lloydminster Public Health at 306-820-6225 to determine if they’re eligible for a Hepatitis A vaccination.
Officials note the risk of transmission is low, but symptoms can appear up to 50 days after exposure and may include fever, fatigue, nausea, dark urine and yellowing of the skin or eyes.
