Notice of Election for Little Pine First Nation

Leadership Forum to follow immediately after nominations close.

According to the Little Pine First Nation Election Act (May 2004), no person can be a candidate for Chief or Councillor unless such person is:

1. A citizen of Little Pine First Nation, as defined in the Government Act

2. Must be at least 21 years old by November 24, 2025.

3. Candidate must provide a clean Criminal Record check for the past 5 years unless the Council of Elders rules otherwise.

4. Candidate can not be indebted to the Little Pine First Nation in the amount of one thousand ($1,000.00) to Little Pine First Nation and or its entities.

5. A candidate can not be removed from office in the last five (5) years by Referendum under the Referendum Act contained in the Government Act 6.

The candidate can only run for one (1) position of the Chief and/or Councillor, but not both.

Please Note: the nominator can only nominate once for chief and once for councillor.
