The Battlefords North Stars have added to their forward group with the signing of 2006-born Adam Konowalchuk, a left-shot forward from Maple Ridge, British Columbia.

Konowalchuk split the 2024-25 season between two junior leagues, beginning the year with the Coquitlam Express of the BCHL. In 26 games with the Express, he recorded one goal and two assists. He later joined the Kerry Park Islanders of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL), where his offensive production took a big step forward. In just seven regular season games with the Islanders, he tallied one goal and seven assists. His momentum continued into the playoffs, where he added two goals and nine assists over 10 postseason games.

Prior to his junior career, Konowalchuk skated with U18 Coquitlam HC in the Junior Prospects Hockey League (JPHL), where he stood out as a playmaker. He posted 8 goals and 33 assists for 41 points across 33 games in his final U18 season.

North Stars head coach Connor Logan believes Konowalchuk is a strong fit for the team both on and off the ice.
