TORONTO — Officials say police shot a man at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport this morning.

Peel Regional Police say a man was shot in a “police-involved shooting” at Terminal 1 and the officer was not injured.

The Special Investigations Unit, a watchdog that investigates when injuries and deaths involve police, also confirmed that a person had been shot by police.

Police say it was an isolated incident and there is no known threat to public safety.
