SK Beef Expo Returns for 11th Year to Prairieland Park

Educating and inspiring young cattle producers

The 11th annual Saskatchewan Beef Expo is set to take place at the Prairieland Ag Center from April 11 – 13, 2025.

Prairieland continues to support the next generation of agricultural leaders through this milestone event. The Saskatchewan Beef Expo offers young cattle producers a valuable platform to develop their skills, gain industry knowledge, and connect with experts in the field.

This year’s Saskatchewan Beef Expo will feature renowned cattle expert and clinician Kirk Stierwalt from Leedey, Oklahoma. Stierwalt will kick off the event with a series of demonstrations covering essential industry techniques, including Basics and Equipment, Clipping, and Grooming. On the second day, he will lead a hands-on clinic, allowing participants to apply their newly-learned skills under his expert guidance.

The event will conclude with a showmanship demonstration and competition, giving exhibitors the chance to refine their presentation skills and gain valuable experience in the show ring.

The final day will feature the Heifer and Steer Shows, at which participants showcase their 2024-born heifer and steer.

The event will conclude by awarding the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion of each show. Both Grand Champions will each receive a buckle and a $250 scholarship that will go towards their post-secondary education.

Prairieland is excited to host this family-friendly event, inspiring the next generation and contributing to the future of the cattle industry through education and hands-on experience.
