Man arrested following death in Pelican Lake

One man is in custody following a death at Pelican Lake First Nation Wednesday.

Craig Thomas, age 32, is charged with manslaughter, and appeared in front of a North Battleford Provincial Court judge.

Spiritwood RCMP were called to Pelican Lake around 2 a.m. on March 26 for a reported injured person on a pathway.

They found 29-year-old Kirk Thomas, also of Pelican Lake, laying on the pathway. He was declared deceased at the scene by EMS.
