North Stars back at home for Games 3 and 4
After splitting the first two games of their playoffs against the Weyburn Red Wings at Crescent Point Place this past weekend, the Battlefords North Stars are back home at the Access Communications Centre tonight and tomorrow for Games 3 and 4.
Looking back at the games on the weekend, the North Stars played well on Friday for Game 1 but after a rough second period, fell short 4-3. Then in Game 2 on Saturday, Battlefords started things off early with three goals in the first period and then eventually went on to win the game 5-2 to tie the series.
Coming into tonight, Battlefords has four players tied with three points for the point leader on the team in the series, Jordan Grill (1G 2A), Nikita Ivashchenko (1G 2A), Braden Nienaber (3A) and Seth Dragan (1G 2A). Then for the Red Wings, their top point getters in the series so far have been Jerome Maharaj (1G 3A) and Jaxson Ruthven (1G 2A).
North Stars forward, Colton Getzlaff also leads the series in goals with two.
