Mistawasis election includes six candidates for Chief

Members of Mistawasis First Nation will head to the polls next month.

The band’s election has been scheduled for April 7.

Advance polls will begin on April 2 at the Ramada in Saskatoon and continue on April 4 at the Day’s Inn in Prince Albert.

Daryl Watson, who was first elected Chief in 2015, is seeking re-election and is challenged by Eleanor Badger, Leona Daniels, Steven Johnston, Norma Johnstone and Greg Pechawasis.

There are also 32 people vying for the five council seats. With the exception of Steven Johnston, who is running for Chief, all the remaining councillors are seeking re-election.
