CP NewsAlert: S&P/TSX composite falls more than 300 points at start of trading

TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index fell more than 300 points at the open as the U.S. imposed broad tariffs on goods coming from Canada and Mexico.

The S&P/TSX composite was down 326.69 points at 24,674.88.
