Battlefords look to end Bombers streak, Grill and Campbell get weekly awards
The Battlefords North Stars held onto their second-place spot in the standings after getting three out of four points this past weekend against the Weyburn Red Wings.
Now boasting a 14-7-3-2 record for 33 points on the season, the North Stars look ahead to this Friday, Dec. 13th and Saturday, Dec. 14 as they take on longtime rivals, the Flin Flon Bombers for the first time this season at the Access Communications Centre.
Currently on a nine-game win streak, the Bombers sit tied for third in the league with a 15-9-1 record and are only two points behind the North Stars with 31.
With Christmas break just around the corner and only six points separating Battlefords from being out of the playoffs, this weekend will be another important one for the North Stars as they will need to try and separate themselves from the middle pack of teams.
