Pelican Lake woman charged with manslaughter

A 20-year-old woman has made her first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on a charge of manslaughter.
Zelda Bill, age 20, was charged by Spiritwrood RCMP in connection with the death of Ryikis Bill, also of Pelican Lake with a single count two days ago.
Officers were called to the First Nation around 6 pm on November 25 to a reported assault. EMS later pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Zelda Bill was arrested and charged at the scene. Police say the two were known to each other.
