Natural gas flair scheduled near RM of Paynton Wednesday

Natural gas flairing is scheduled to take place at the TransGas block valve site, in the RM of Paynton.
The controlled flair will be from 6 to 8 a.m. on Wedseday., Nov. 20 and is “subject to change based on operating requirements.”
According to a release from SaskEnergy, people may see flare stack emit a 40-foot flame as part of maintenance work.
“During this process, a portion of the gas line will be isolated from the system and natural gas will be removed from the line in a controlled burn called a flare,” the release read in part of the industry practice.
