Something wicked comes to the Battlefords and Meadow Lake

Oct 25, 2024 | 9:00 AM

Boils and ghouls looking to get into the spirit of the Halloween season will have the chance to get delightfully wicked over the next couple of weekends.

  • This year, a family-friendly Spooky Swim and Haunted House will welcome all creatures of the water, be they merfolk or mortal water-babies to the North Battleford Co-op Aquatic Centre grom 6 to 9 p.m. on Fri., Oct. 25.
  • In Meadow Lake, a free screening of A Nightmare on Elm Street at Aurora Cinemas will be held all day on Weds., Oct. 30. To make it extra fun, there will also be door prizes and moviegoers who come dressed in costume have a chance to win a prize too. While the film is free, there is a cost for admission: bringing in non-perishable food or winter clothing. All donations will go to Door of Hope.
  • Back in the Battlefords, BHS Boarding and Grooming will host the Halloween Howl on Thurs., Oct. 31 with two events, the first will be free and is geared towards children and will take place from noon to 5 p.m. The second – for those aged 14 and over and will cost $10 – will be held from 7 to 10 p.m.
