Alvin Baptiste wants a community of respect and reconciliation

From being a cultural advisor at schools in the Battlefords to educating people about the impacts of Canada’s colonial history, North Battleford City Councillor Candidate Alvin Baptiste focus’s on the social issues of poverty, addictions and homelessness in the community.
Baptiste takes pride in being a custodian of cultural knowledge and indigenous history and advocates for reconciliation to addresses systemic issues so that everyone can be treated with fairness and equality.
On top of that, Baptiste also wants to help build a community that promotes understanding and appreciation of the Cree culture, along with making North Battleford a safe and affordable city to live in.
With the municipal election on November 13th, Baptiste will continue to build a relationship of respect and reconciliation between the indigenous and non-indigenous communities.
