Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital celebrates five years

It’s been five years since the opening of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation (JPCHF), and since then, it has put forward over $85 million to support maternal and pediatric care across all of Saskatchewan.

The facility opened in September 2019 as the only dedicated maternal and children’s hospital in Saskatchewan. The achievement was only possible due to support from several donors and community members throughout the province along with Jim Pattison himself.

“When Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital opened five years ago it was the culmination of the efforts of many people, including the generous support of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation,” SHA CEO Andrew Will said. “Today, Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital continues to play a vital role in the health-care journey of Saskatchewan’s mothers and children, and we are thankful for the contributions of our staff, physicians and philanthropic partners at JPCHF for their dedication and service.”

In celebration of this significant milestone, JPCHF created a commemorative video. (J

“You only need to walk through the walls of JPCH to see the tangible impact of Saskatchewan’s generosity. It is with deepest gratitude that we acknowledge this children’s hospital was built with incredible donors whose tireless support made this dream a reality,” said Brynn Boback-Lane, president and CEO, JPCHF. “Our Foundation also extends great appreciation to our partners Saskatchewan Ministry of Health, Saskatchewan Health Authority, University of Saskatchewan-College of Medicine and JPCH staff for their infallible dedication and commitment to the children and moms-to-be across Saskatchewan. With this combined devotion, our province is posed for continued excellence in pediatric and maternal care.”
