Arrest made in connection with women’s death on Big Island Lake Cree Territory

A man is now arrested due a suspected murder involving a woman’s death last week on Big Island Lake Cree Territory.

According to a RCMP release, a 26-year-old man from Big Island Lake Cree Territory is now charged with second-degree murder Section 235(1), Criminal Code.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are still confirming the woman’s identity. RCMP said they wouldn’t share her name until it is confirmed.

The Investigation is ongoing, and more details will be provided once is available.
