Aug 31, 2024 | 4:20 PM

The three women arrested in connection to Friday’s early morning homicide have now been charged.

The women, all from La Ronge, were arrested at a home on Friday after La Ronge RCMP received a report of an injured person on Otter Street in Air Ronge.

Upon arrival, they found a 28-year-old man suffering from serious injuries and transported him to hospital where he later died. The victim has since been identified as Andy McKenzie of the La Ronge area.

As a result of investigation, police arrested the three women and have now charged them in connection to the death.

20-year-old Andree McKenzie is charged with one count of second-degree murder, while 33-year-old Sarah Isbester and 26-year-old Alisha McKenzie are charged with one count each of manslaughter.

The trio is set to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on Tuesday.

RCMP Major Crimes and Prince Albert RCMP Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate, with the support of La Ronge RCMP.
