Hearing dates set

Teachers, province arbitration set for December

Four days in December have been set aside for a contract arbitration hearing between the Saskatchewan Teacher’s Federation and the Government-Trustee Bargaining Committee.

The hearing will run from December 16 to 20 in Saskatoon.

Both sides will submit written positions and make presentations on issues of class complexity and accountability and wages.

The panel will deliver a legally binding written report once the process has been completed.

Dawn Harkness, a recently retired teacher and principal from Saskatoon and Greg Chatlain, the former director of education for Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools were named along with Daniel Ish, a former University of Saskatchewan law professor and dean of the College of Law.
