RCMP investigate suspicious death on Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation

The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes division is investigating the death of a woman on Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation, about 72 kilometres northwest of Prince Albert.

On July 11 at approximately 3:30 a.m., RCMP received a report of an injured female at a residence. Officers immediately responded and found the woman, but she was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS. Her death is being considered suspicious.

In a press release, RCMP said, “We are unable to provide additional information about this investigation at this time. Updates will be provided when available. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public.”
