A cool idea: temporary water parks opening this week in N.B. to help beat the heat
The summer is here and for some, the livin’ isn’t easy.
As the weather heats up to scorching temperatures, temporary water parks will be set up around the City of North Battleford to help keep people cool.
“We’ve got a policy in place that when it gets over 32 degrees, we will do some stuff to try and alleviate some of those heat conditions from people that are experiencing the warm weather,” said Fire Chief and Director of Protective Services Lindsay Holm.
On Wednesday, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Connaught School playground, a pop-up spray park will be set up and there will also be one on Thursday also from noon until 3 p.m. at Centennial Park just north of the skate park.
