Driver ticketed following semi crash on Highway 16 overpass

The driver of the semi-truck that overturned earlier Thursday morning on the Highway 16 overpass has been ticketed for driving without due care and attention.

According to RCMP, police received the call around 8:15 a.m., where the truck hit a light pole and guardrail before flipping over.

First responders assessed the driver who had non-life-threatening injuries, and traffic was impacted for a time as workers cleared the area.

Meanwhile, the guardrail and the light pole were damaged.
