Canada Day celebration plans across north central Sask
Canada’s national holiday is celebrated on July 1.
It’s an opportunity for Canadians across the country and around the world show pride in their history, culture and achievements. Canada Day has been celebrated since 1868 with many festivities held across the nation. Here is a look at what’s happening across north central Saskatchewan this year.
Prince Albert
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #2 is bringing Canada Day celebrations to Kinsmen Park. Food booths, a ball tournament, Bingo, entertainment and more will start at 11 a.m. Meanwhile, the Prince Albert Multicultural Council will start their entertainment on the riverbank at 5 p.m. with several acts including performances by Mariachi Latino Band from Regina and Iron Eagle Drum & Dance Group. The evening will end with a fireworks display.
