RCMP road closures on bridge to Town of Battleford, Highway 16 Bypass

UPDATE: Police have cleared the scene and the roads should reopen shortly.

A police matter has led to the closure of both lanes of the Highway 4 bridge southbound to the Town of Battleford. The Highway 16 bypass by Humpty’s is also shut down.

RCMP closed the roads shortly before 1 p.m. An alert from the City of North Battleford said the shutdown may be lengthy as additional RCMP supports are required. The North Battleford Fire Department and Community Safety Officers are assisting. No other details have been provided.

Motorists are being asked to use alternate routes if possible and to obey on-scene direction from emergency services.
