Charges laid in 2023 death of Lee Bearsears

Two men have been charged with the 2023 homicide of Lee Bearsears.

According to RCMP, Craig Fox, from Little Pine First Nation has been charged with one count of second-degree murder and a man from Poundmaker, Preston Checkosis has been charged with one count of accessory after the fact.

Both are set to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court, July 4 and 10th respectively.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 310-RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
