Pickup driver killed in Highway 17 crash

The driver of a pickup truck that collided with a semi north of Lloydminster two days ago died at the scene, RCMP have confirmed.

He was a resident of Lloydminster and further details will not be released according with his family’s wishes.

The driver of the semi truck was assessed by EMS at the scene.

RCMP, fire and EMS were all called to the collision scene on Highway 17 north of Lloydminster just before noon on June 11.

Maidstone RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.

Maidstone and Lloydminster RCMP, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Roving Traffic Unit, Saskatchewan Highway Patrol officers with the Provincial Protective Services Branch, Wilton Police Service, Lloydminster Rescue, Britannia Fire Department and EMS assisted at the scene.
