Long-term offender may be in Battlefords

A long term offender who cut off his monitoring bracelet may have returned to Saskatchewan and be in the Battlefords area.

RCMP and Calgary Police Services have asked the public to report any sightings of 37-year-old Michael Robertson.

Robertson has a Canada-wide warrant that was issued by Corrections Canada and both police services are actively trying to capture him.

Robertson’s last known locations was in Calgary on May 10 but officers said he might now be in Saskatoon or North Battleford.

He is about 6-1 tall and 260 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He has multiple neck and face tattoos and tattoos under both of his eyes.

According to Calgary Police, Robertson was declared a long-term offender and was serving a seven-year supervision order and was being monitored by the CPS High Risk Offender Program along with Corrections Canada.

His charges mainly originated in Saskatchewan and include robbery, wearing a disguise, arson with disregard for human life, assault, and various weapons charges.

The public is asked to report all sightings of Robertson but not approach him.
