As of Monday morning, 15 active wildfires have been reported in Saskatchewan, leading to poor air quality in some communities.

One of the most prominent fires is south of the community of Hall Lake. While crews are battling that blaze, all Elders and those in the priority 1 group are on evacuation alert for Hall Lake, Sikachu Lake and Clam Bridge.

Another fire being assessed is east of Hunter Bay, burning roughly 18,000 hectares.

Smoke from those wildfires and those burning in northeastern B.C. and Alberta have led to air quality statements for northern Saskatchewan.

The advisories affect several communities including La Ronge, Stanley Mission, Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay, and Deschambeault Lake.

There are no advisories for the Prince Albert area, Meadow Lake, the Battlefords, Melfort, Nipawin, or Tisdale.
