Mental Health forum coming to Saskatchewan Hospital
Mental Health Week takes place in early May and to help raise awareness, Saskatchewan Hospital Legacy Trail and Canadian Mental Health and the Saskatchewan Hospital have partnered up to present a free Mental Health Learning Forum: A Historical Journey and Youth Mental Health.
“We just wanted to bring some awareness,” said Barb Lilly, member of the Legacy Trail committee.
“We have a couple of guest speakers that are coming,” she added of Dr. Erika Dyck from the University of Saskatchewan, Dr. Nathan Pyle and Social Worker Alan Corbeil.
While Dyck will speak on the history of mental health, Pyle and Corbeil will speak on influences, trends and resiliency in children’s mental health.
