Upcoming Spring Dinner Theatre in Cochin

Mar 27, 2024 | 10:50 AM

Cochin Community Players is proud to announce its 2024 spring dinner theatre production of Norm Foster’s Looking. Clint Barrett directs a stellar cast which features veteran actors Gregory Kwong, Rick Kostiuk, Danielle Barrett, and Cheryl Olson.

Canadian Norm Foster is popular with dinner theatre audiences, and this crowd-pleasing comedy about relationships shows us why. Val is an OR nurse, Andy is in the storage business, Nina is a police officer, and Matt is the host of a morning radio show.

They’re middle-aged, single, and “looking.” Val agrees to meet Andy after answering his personal ad in the newspaper. Nina and Matt are coaxed into joining their friends for support. What follows is hilarious, touching, and so very true to life.

Dinner theatre productions run Friday April 5th and 12th and Saturday April 6th and 13th. Brunch production are Sunday April 7th and 14th. “The April 13th production is already sold out,” producer Carol Carlson says, and advises folks to book their tickets soon. All performances take place in the Cochin Hall. Tickets are $50 each and include a delicious meal prepared by KC’s Kitchen, a local business operated by two certified chefs. Tickets are available from cochincp@gmail.com, or phone 306-480-9333.

Looking will be part of TheatreFest, an annual showcase of Saskatchewan community theatre. This year it takes place in North Battleford. If you are unable to attend the dinner theatre, you can still catch the show on Monday, April 22 at the Dekker Centre. TheatreFest tickets are $35 per show and can be purchased at the Dekker Centre box office.
