The RCMP will not yet release the names of the four people found dead at a Saskatchewan farm, but said their families have been notified.

980 CJME has confirmed the property near Neudorf where the four adults were found dead on Sunday is owned by JoAnne and Gary Bender.

A news release from RCMP said said the initial investigation has led them to believe that the deceased are members of the same family, made up of two parents and two of their adult children.

Interviews, processing and investigations will continue, with Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes and the General Investigation Section at the scene.

“The Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service has transported the deceased to Regina, where autopsies are scheduled to take place this week,” the Mounties said.

On Sunday, RCMP officers were conducting a wellness check when four bodies were found at a farmyard about five kilometres northeast of Neudorf.

The village, which has a population of less than 300, is located about 135 kilometres east of Regina.

While the RCMP consider the deaths suspicious, police said there is no imminent risk to the public.

On Tuesday, community members were in disbelief about the deaths, and wanted to know what had happened.
