Three people are dealing with drug-related charges as a result of a recent police traffic stop in North Battleford.

Saskatchewan RCMP’s North Battleford Crime Reduction Team (CRT) were taking part in proactive patrols on Feb. 23, when at about 9:30 p.m., while conducting a traffic stop on 101 Street, they observed open alcohol in plain sight in the vehicle.

Police arrested the occupants. After investigating, officers located and seized approximately 225 grams of crack cocaine, a sum of cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia in the vehicle.

A 42-year-old man from Mosquito Grizzly Bear’s Head Lean Man First Nation, as well as a 35-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man, both from Poundmaker First Nation, were each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
