Mass stabbing perpetrator hid in Crystal Springs area during multi-day manhunt
The man responsible for the mass stabbing attack on the James Smith Cree Nation and Weldon hid for multiple days near the Hamlet of Crystal Springs after killing 11 people and injuring 17 others.
That’s according to Sgt. Evan Anderson with the RCMP who spoke on Monday at the coroner’s inquest looking into the events that happened on September 4.
He explained Myles Sanderson had set up camp after the black Nissan Rogue he was driving ran out of gas.
Anderson said Sanderson stole food, drinks, and bedding from a home nearby. After spending over three days at this camp, Sanderson went back to the home and stole a white truck. This was the vehicle that he would later be captured in near Rosthern.
